In terms of R&D intensity, the average R&D investment of the top 50 artificial intelligence companies in Wuhan in 2021 was 39.1716 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 63.7% from 2020; the average R&D investment intensity of each company reached 28.18%, and there were 36 companies with R&D investment intensity exceeding 10%. In terms of enterprise application scenarios, the TOP50 companies cover basic technology fields such as artificial intelligence chips, smart medical care, and computer vision. The larger companies are mainly concentrated in application fields such as smart medical care, smart manufacturing, and smart cities.
