Recently, the National Health Commission officially released the 2024 application guide for the national key research and development plan special project of “Reproductive Health and Women’s and Children’s Health Security”. Focusing on the four tasks of reproductive health maintenance and promotion, birth defect prevention and control, women’s health promotion and disease prevention, and children’s health promotion and disease prevention and control, according to the three levels of basic research, technology development, and clinical research, 14 guide tasks (including 2 young scientist projects) are planned to be launched, and an estimated state funding of 165 million yuan is planned.
This move demonstrates the country’s high priority and firm commitment to reproductive health and women’s and children’s health protection.
Under the guidance of the national strategy for women and children’s health, Wuhan Half the Sky has always adhered to the development model of deep integration of industry, academia and research, closely integrated market demand with scientific research and innovation, and continuously promoted the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements. Wuhan Half the Sky has accelerated its participation in research projects——
“Effectiveness of matrix radiofrequency technology in the treatment of complex urinary incontinence and refractory mild to moderate pelvic organ prolapse: National Multi-center Prospective Clinical Cohort Study”: This topic is a topic under the national “14th Five-Year Plan” key research and development plan (project number: 2023YFC2706003), led by Peking Union Medical College Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and Tongji Medical College Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology Undertaken by the hospital, Professor Wu Mingfu of Tongji Hospital serves as the project leader. It aims to comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of matrix radiofrequency technology in the treatment of complex urinary incontinence and refractory mild to moderate pelvic organ prolapse through a nationwide multi-center prospective clinical cohort study, so as to provide scientific basis for clinical practice.
The project kick-off meeting was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province on July 14. Subsequently, various research works on the project were fully launched and are currently being carried out in an orderly manner.

The project “Multi-center Clinical Research on Gynecological Radiofrequency Repair of Female Pelvic Floor Dysfunction” approved by the China Eugenics Association (Project Code: 2024K045) has been established. This project aims to explore a novel and effective repair method by organizing multiple hospitals across the country to conduct multi-center research on the science, feasibility, safety and effectiveness of matrix radiofrequency repair of pelvic floor dysfunction, and provide reliable clinical basis for maintaining and repairing female pelvic floor dysfunction.
After careful preparation and extensive invitations, 20 hospitals from across the country have confirmed their participation. At the same time, we sincerely invite other hospitals that have not confirmed their participation but are interested in this project to actively join our research team.

Vegina accelerates the popularization of gynecological radiofrequency micro-non-invasive technology
As a member of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Professional Committee of the China Eugenics and Eugenics Association, we have assisted the association to successfully launch and promote the “Gynecological Radio Frequency Minimally Non-invasive Technology Training Hospital” project, aiming to improve the level of gynecological radiofrequency micro-non-invasive technology in medical institutions at all levels across the country through “hands-on” practical teaching and cultivate high-quality specialized technical talents.
Through strict selection and teaching, 16 radiofrequency minimally invasive technology training centers have been established nationwide, and a gynecological radiofrequency minimally invasive technology training platform with wider coverage and more sophisticated technology will be gradually built.

As a pioneer brand of minimally invasive medical care in China, Wuhan Half the Sky takes “Healthy Half the Sky, Benefiting All Mankind” as its corporate mission. We will continue to adhere to the concept of “technology empowers health, innovation leads the future”, deeply explore the field of maternal and maternal health, actively respond to the national call, and contribute more to improving my country’s reproductive health level and protecting the health rights and interests of women and children.
