On March 7, 2024, Hubei Technology Exchange organized experts to evaluate the scientific and technological achievements of the “Application of Radio Frequency Ultrasonic Tools and Equipment” independently developed by our company. The participating expert groups carefully reviewed the evaluation materials and listened to the results report. After questioning and discussing the project’s technological maturity, technological innovation, and technological advancement, Wuhan Half the Sky’s “Application of Radio Frequency Ultrasonic Tools and Equipment” project officially passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal, and overall reached the international advanced level.

The expert group attending the meeting unanimously believed that the “Application of Radio Frequency Ultrasonic Tools and Equipment” project has a number of innovative achievements, reaching the highest level 9 in terms of technological maturity, the highest level 4 in technological innovation, and the highest level 6 in technological advancement (the highest level 7), and the overall level has reached the international advanced level!
1. The maximum blood vessel diameter that can be closed is 7mm.
We have developed and produced a new type of minimally invasive surgical instrument that integrates radio frequency and ultrasound. It can achieve the simultaneous output of two types of energy, complete the closing and cutting effects of tissues and blood vessels during surgery, greatly enhance the coagulation effect of surgical wounds, improve cutting efficiency, and can achieve the closure of blood vessels with a maximum diameter of 7mm.
2. Radio frequency ultrasound can be output simultaneously
The innovative and comprehensive use of photoelectric isolation, electromagnetic shielding and other technologies solves the problem of mutual interference of radiofrequency ultrasound signals, allowing two radiofrequency ultrasound energies to be output at the same time, improving surgical efficiency and ensuring the stability and safety of cutting during surgery.
3. One host and one cutter head
Developed and produced a new type of integrated host system that combines simultaneous output functions of radio frequency and ultrasound.
At present, the results have been successfully applied in many medical units across the country, including Union Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Jiangsu Cancer Hospital, and have achieved good economic and social benefits.

This equipment makes up for the limitations of the existing single ultrasonic scalpel technology and achieves a technological breakthrough of “one host machine and one blade, cutting and coagulating at the same time, closing large blood vessels up to 7mm”, making doctors’ operations more efficient and safer.
