On August 28, 2022, the Hubei Provincial Medical Device Industry Association issued a document “[Member Style] Governing Unit-Wuhan Half the Sky Medical Technology Development Co., Ltd.”, announcing that Wuhan Half the Sky Company won the China Medical Device Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Award.
Wuhan Half the Sky’s products have 65 core patented technologies. It has always led the trend in the field of minimally invasive interventional treatment in gynecology and surgery. It strives to create high-quality minimally invasive medical treatments. It is the inventor of the world’s first “gynecological radiofrequency treatment instrument”. Later, it independently developed and produced a radiofrequency ultrasound surgical system. This technology is comparable to similar products of Johnson & Johnson of the United States and Olympus of Japan. It is in a leading position in the country. It has gradually broken the monopoly of such products by Johnson & Johnson of the United States and replaced the import of such equipment.
The “high-frequency surgical equipment” and “ultrasonic cutters” produced by the company were included in the “China Medical Equipment and Key Components (Technology Development Report 2019)”, among which the patented technology product “Ultrasonic Cutters with Hidden Transducers” won the third prize in the 4th (2021) China Medical Device Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
